In May 5th, the Research Institute and the rookie network jointly published the National Research Report on the socialization of electricity supplier logistics practitioners (hereinafter referred to as the practitioner's report), showing that there are 2 million 33 thousand people engaged in the logistics industry of socialized e-commerce in China, which is about 3.4 times that of 5 years ago.

According to the data reported by practitioners, by the beginning of 2016, the number of practitioners of socialized e-commerce logistics in China had reached 2033,000. Previously, according to the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of Express Service, the number of Express Service employees reached more than 600,000 by 2010, and the number of Express Service employees increased about 3.4 times in the past five years.
Among the 2.03 million people, the first-line personnel, mainly including site couriers, site warehouse operators and grass-roots managers, totaled 1.636 million; mainly included 338,000 second-line personnel of warehouse sorters, customer service personnel and freight drivers; and 59,000 functional personnel of the third-line headquarters.
According to statistics, among the site staff, including couriers, the salary level of five adults is between 2001 and 6000 yuan, and a few of them can reach more than 8000 yuan. With the general rise in human costs and the increase in the number of express mail in the e-commerce industry, the basic salary of express delivery staff will increase by about 8% to 10% annually.
According to the report, the average working hours of site practitioners are mainly between 8 and 12 hours a day, and even more than 12 hours a day in the peak season of e-commerce promotion.
Employees report that the courier's academic qualifications are relatively common in technical secondary schools/high schools/technical schools. The age distribution is mainly male between 20 and 30 years old, and nearly 80% of them come from rural areas.
Because of the hard work and low threshold, the personnel mobility of express station is strong. According to statistics, nearly half of the site staff work for less than one year.
